About Peter H. Clark
Peter Humphries Clark (1829–1925) was a renowned Black abolitionist and educator. He was the first Black teacher in Cincinnati’s public schools and founded Ohio's first public high school for Black students. Clark is also recognized as the first African-American socialist in the United States.
